Blade Runner 2049 was one of the most intriguing movies of 2017 and a great successor to the original Blade Runner. It was greatly praised by critics and audiences for its cinematography, visual effects, direction, performances, and commitment to the original Blade Runner.

Despite the good reviews, the film didn’t achieve the expected success at the box office, grossing $260.5 million worldwide against a production budget between $150–185 million.

The Voight-Kampff Test

If you have watched the original Blade Runner, then you will probably remember the Voight-Kampff Test. This was a test used by the Blade Runners of the LAPD to see if an individual was a replicant or not. Its software was able to identify biological reactions, such as the individual’s respiration, heart rate, eye movement, and blushing, and how they respond to some provocative, personal questions.
